Number 010!
We’re rolling back the years in this update and refining one of the first pieces I made for our first home. It has been hanging on our wall for the last 7 years and having gifted a few totally bespoke versions recently, it felt as though there was scope to launch this fully. This is my first mass customisable product - each one truly unique to you.
Mass customisation is something I have had an interest in for years and down the line I would be very keen to develop software that would fully automate the process. Integrating this within my website to allow anyone to customise their own version and see the result before placing an order would be a dream. If you know anything about software development that might enable this - I’d love to hear from you :)
Laminar is in production!
Pre-orders are still available for Laminar. Production is in full swing and I am expecting some production update imagery soon. Backers will be the first to see any of the behind the scenes updates like this so keep an eye on your inbox :)

My top 5 pieces of content I have found helpful/inspiring:
1.
5 Simple Strategies to Supercharge Your Focus. Another Ali Abdaal video with some helpful strategies to create more focus. Interesting to see him unearth research that shows a correlation between visual clutter and procrastination. This is something I have always bought in to and will often take time to clear my desk if I am feeling particularly stretched - it always helps.
2.
The Last Airbender. This was pure nostalgia. Totally appreciate this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but if you watched the original series, this really is a must watch. It’s very true to the original and was a proper trip down memory lane.
3.
Atomic Habits. I’m only half way through but this book by James Clear has been on my reading list for years. Audible had an incredible 3 month deal on for 99p which I couldn’t turn down and it totally reminded me of how much I love audiobooks. Brilliant book so far, made better by the fact it’s narrated by the author.
4.
Leading: Anthony Gormley. The Rest is Politics is a podcast I have been listening to since it’s inception and in an age of division and polarisation, it’s really refreshing to listen to two voices from opposing sides actually have a discussion that remains civil. Leading is a spin out podcast where they interview Leaders across various industries and this latest episode featured Anthony Gormley. I have to confess, whilst I was aware of his major pieces, I didn’t know much about him as a person. Some really interesting views on the world - in particular around the need for the physical.
5.
Magnific AI. Skip to 3.18 - totally innovative use for AI that I can absolutely see becoming the norm for introducing people into renders/photos. I have been testing magnific ai in the background this last month and whilst it’s not perfect it is really good at taking your renders that last 10%, adding fine details that would take hours in software to achieve.
Introducing “Trace”, a fully bespoke birch plywood map, centred around an important place in your life. Designed to be a statement piece in any home, guaranteed to add that personal touch. Quality design, quality materials.
Buying our first home was a huge milestone and one that I really wanted to celebrate with a personal touch. Having since moved to a new home, this now holds even more value to us as it hangs proudly by our front door reminding us of all the happy memories at that location. We all want to celebrate our important milestones and this hopefully enables you to do just that in a clean, minimal way (that isn’t overly cheesy!).
Make it your way
Choose your location. Choose between a rectangular or circular frame. Choose your icon and icon colour. Customise the text.
A few Examples…
Put your home on the map. Whether it’s your current home, your old home or your childhood home, this wall piece is sure to remind you of those memories daily.
Celebrate those special occasions tied to a specific location. A wedding? An engagement? A memorable holiday? Your family roots?
Pinpoint locations that are meaningful to you. We loved the food scene in Glasgow when we lived there and this would be such a fun way to be able to remember some of the incredible experiences we had.
How would you like to use yours? Let me know in the comments!
